North America; a huge place. As there are huge problems with the large corporation, General Motors, I began to contemplate. In my musings, it came to me that this continent was built, the whole plan, to build and sell cars, which of course require gasoline. If men can go to the moon, we can certainly build non gasoline fuel cars.
General Motors is complaining that the cost of gasoline is what has them in problems. Oh, contraire’, they have had fifty years to design vehicles. Even for the last ten years they could have re-tooled to a smaller, hybrid. Did they? Of course not. They want to build huge trucks and SUV’s. Now we are in a crunch with the gasoline prices and thousands will lose their jobs. Hundreds of thousands more small parts facilities will be out of business. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
It looks to me like a whole corporation of slacker CEO’s, just raking in profits and paying out huge amounts to themselves as bonus’ and retirement benefits, while the workers on the floor are, and have been, cheated for decades.
